A spiritual journey

In 2002, Mackey and I began mentoring women who had been recently released from prison. What we observed while working with these women was that God began saying to us, “This is much more than just mentoring.” They became a part of our family. Instead of having Bible study together once a week, we brought these women and their children into our home. In this way, we were able to mentor them on a day-to-day moment-to-moment basis in every aspect of their lives. It made all the difference. Over the next five years, God used this ministry to change our lives forever. We began to seek Him about how to extend this ministry to as many women as possible. This was the foundation for Miracles of Mercy (M.O.M).

Our vision is to build a place for women and children to live in a godly family environment. Most transitional programs are only three months but our experience has proved this is not enough time. We plan to invite women to live with us for a longer period to give them time to experience a "real" family. Within this family environment, we will help them to learn life skills such as parenting, communications and budgeting. Each day will be rooted in Bible study to help them learn what it means to walk in right relationships with one another and with our Heavenly Father.

We invite you to join us in this ministry.
